Hello, I am new to the forum. I stumbled across this site while researching Concho Indian School. I attended Concho the last year it was opened and I was in the 8th grade. It wasn't a pleasant experience and I wasn't sad to see it closed. I heard alot of stories about the ghosts that were haunting it, but I never saw anything unusual. I went back to the old school earlier this year and have taken some photos, which I can post if anyone wants to see them. I didn't go back to Concho out of curiousity, but to bury the bad memories I took away from there. It's a dead place and deserves to be left that way.

i am a ojibwe indian and i was a student at the concho campus in 1979 -1980,i lived a total nightmare in my dormroom at night,a child whispering in my ear,3 of them running down the hallway laughing,a child was always crying sitting at the corner of the very dark room,i can still see the long dark hall way and smell the old building to this day,any hunters go there go to the boys dorm,b hall and go sit in room 8,you will see lost spirits and feel death,i need to go back and bury my soul with them, because it feels like they are still in me...

Hey treefrog,
Which side of the boys dorm were you on? The little boys or the big boys? I stayed on both sides of the big boys dorm and slept like a baby every night. The scariest thing I saw was the old lady who used to teach Mathematics! I think someone dropped a house on her sister. Anyway, I am going through my pics and looking for the ones I took of Concho year when I went back. I would not enter the grounds of the school, unless you have permission from the tribe. There are sweat lodges constructed there and you may not come out in one piece if you trespass. I would worry more about the two legged living people than any dead ghosts.
