Greetings from McAlester OK. Not new to UEing, but new to the forums. My apologies for posting so many pics, but I got a bit shutter happy, being the 1st time I recorded a place I visited. Just could not stop. All the pics are 800x600 after resizing.

This used to be a nice house, back in the day. It was a 2 story house, not counting the basement, with a huge kitchen, 4 bedrooms, big dining room, big living room & 3 full bath's. My boss used to own it, but due to the greedy children of the man that sold it too them, my boss had to give the house back. So, the kids decided to have it torn down. All that is left is the basement, so I got some pics of it.

Cool basement, too bad it was torn down... You explore much in the McAlester area?

I like to try to, but since my truck is not working right, it makes it a bit hard. There are a few places that I would like to go, but I need to track down the owners to get in, cause they are locked up tighter than a drum. Like the old downtown movie theater and an old church.

Well I am glad I got these pics when I did. The owners son, took possession of the house and had it bulldozed, Tuesday 05 Apr 2011 and filled in with several dump truck loads of dirt.

But, the funny part of the story is, he did not have permits, from the city, to bulldoze what was left of the house. So now he is looking at $20k-$50k of fines he will have to shell out of his pockets. AHAHAHA. His dad is fuming. Also, the guy he paid $5k to bulldoze and fill it in, did not have the proper license to use the bulldozer, so he is in trouble as well. And to top that off, when they did all that, they collapsed the main water line, to the house next door and the son has to shell out even more money to get that fixed, so the tenants that live in the house have water. That will run about another $3k-$10k to fix. They also did not call and inform the Water company or the Gas company either, to come out and mark where the lines were and they are in trouble for that as well.

All and all, the son is an idiot and deserves what he gets.
