Seriously, someone really needs to go get pictures of this place! Its a bit far away for my tastes, especially since all I have to go by are these pictures and a couple of stories around the web. As far as I know, no one has taken pics of the inside or made them public atleast. I dont even need to go into detail of why this place needs to be documented, just look at it!

Yeah, I got the two small pics from the ozarks site, and the large one from uer. I havent got any pm's, and it appears that new post about it was a hit and run... From what I was told, all entries are boarded or welded shut. Ha! 95% of the time there is a way in, and the chances are even higher on a building that size.

Didn't the older post say that it was on the grounds of the reservation and or a casino?

Yes, it is a bit far... 3 hours 48 minutes... But I think worth it.... We are on it! Do we know exactly where it is in Talihina?

I looked all over google maps, and can't seem to find it... there does look to be other locations in town that would make the trip worthwhile. I saw an old motor hotel, and some other abandoned buildings while cruising the streets in street view....

This isnt the building, but its on the same property. I believe the actualy sanitorium is the southern most building on that property in the middle, west of the building on that link. But this building looks awesome too!

Be careful about walking around the woods in Little Dixie. I've heard too many stories of those that went into the woods and were never see again. Did they find that last family yet? I refuse any work in Talihina because of a in-bred murdering local who walked free. Now he acts like he owns the town and nobody seems to want to stop him. Also, you do not want to mess with the tribal police. If you are arrested by them, you are dealing with federal charges. Other than that good luck and have fun.

Found this in the archives. This is what it was supposed to look like. But the above pic hardly resembles it.

I would like a road trip there, especially if we can get some night photography in.

A digital SLR Camera with tripod and remote that can shoot in "bulb" mode.

And after that just a couple of hand held flash units, flashlights, and colored gels.

And a kitchen timer.

Hello, new member here, I was actually in this building about ten to eleven years ago. My dad's company installs lockers, bleachers, furniture type things and this building was being used to store the lockers that were going into the veterans hospital next to it.
