Justin:

You seem to be a fellow historian interested in Oklahoma history and history in general. My field is railroad history I have written several articles about railroad history that have been published.

I have something that I will be glad to share with you if you will e-mail me back with your e-mail address.
I have as a file on my computer a copy of 'THE OFFICIAL HOTEL AND RAILWAY GUIDE FOR TEXAS, OKLAHOMA TERRITORY AND INDIAN TERRITORY' DECEMBER 1905 EDITION.

I will be more than glad to send it to you as an attachment then you can burn it to a "CD" or download it as a file on your computer.

This is a rare find and I am sure you will like it.

I noticed on "Ghost Towns" that there are two towns you didn't mention.

One is Hayward 5 miles east of Covington in Eastern Garfield County. There use to be a thriving town and a school there, a high school until 1958 I have playewd basket ball there.

Another is Salt Fork, Oklahoma between Hunter (Garfield County) and Lamont ( S.E. Grant County) There used to be a town there but all is gone now.

You might want to feature them on your map of ghost towns.

Okay, I went to Witcher and Hale- located near Edmond. I do not know what qualifies as a ghost town, but I can guarantee you that Witcher was nowhere to be found and Hale was essentially some rednecks side yard.. did I mention they probably had guns as they ran outside to see what their dogs were barking at? (me)
Although, if you pass Haile St (which is pretty much a driveway) and turn right on the next street there is an abandoned school bus and creepy shed. But you have to drive through an overgrown road. I do not recommend if you do not want your car to be scratched.
My question is, when was the last time this was updated?
